Man oh man. Things got a little, actually a lot crazy yesterday. Hardy to the minors? Eating 10 milly willies on the goodbye to Bill Hall party. And then Bill Castro. The poor guy is the scapegoat of all scapegoats. I read the Attanasio comments and he said if the pitchers are underperforming you have to wonder why. He also said he was disappointed that the Brewers are letting down all the fans- whether at the stadium, watching on tv, listening on the radio, or monitoring on their communicators. What the heck is a communicator? Is that some next level technology that only super rich baseball owners have access to? Can I get one? Can he at least explain what it is?
But seriously, I feel bad for Bill Castro. I originally was going to put a pic of Fidel up, but Bill's pics are equally awesome and old school. The guy has been with the Brewers for 17 years. 17 years! It was his dream job and I think it was an impossible task this year with all the injuries and the pitchers stinking. I guess I don't really understand how a pitching coach can help, but I'm not sure the results would've been too different with Mike Maddux in charge. I hope we can find him a home in the org and don't kick him to the curb. Then again, it must be weird to get demoted.
And lastly, the net result was a big loss mainly due to our awful pitching and WALKING runs in. Tough times. There's still a chance, but tough times.

I just called my Citibank rep. They put my money in an “accelerator” account, which sounds radical, awesome, and sweet. It gives me a 1.3% APY, so not bad. Still, I might try to figure out how I could do a little better. Thanks for all the advice. I’m not kidding when I say that I am going to do my financial planning solely based on advice from Pee Your Pants For The Brewers. Thanks, everybody.

Weird game going on: It is 11 to 6 in the 6th right now, in favor of the Brewers. The Padres have 13 hits to the Brewers' 8. That means that they have five more hits than we do, but we have five more runs than they do. Strange.

Whew! That was a close one. I guess it was worth letting Billy Hall go, even though I like him. . . . and JJ, seems like he plays baseball too much in his head instead of on the field. Bill Castro - you just have to feel bad. I'm not so sure I agreed with giving him the pitching coach job. I mean, if he has not moved up to the position in 17 years, there had to have been a reason, but he got his chance in a bad year to get that chance. . . . all in all, it had to be done. I'm glad we have an owner who wants to win and is willing to take a chance. . . like my Dad used to say, "Take a chance - (Christopher) Columbus did. . . ."

My Dad also said, "There are more horses azzes than there are horses," and stuff like that.
